Change the target date of a journey

In Introist, a journey is a set of tasks that are designed to streamline and automate a particular process, such as onboarding new employees. Each journey has a target date, which represents the date by which all the tasks within the journey should be completed.

⚡
TLDR; 1. Navigate to the journey you want to update 2. Click “Actions” at the top right corner of journey view 3. Choose “Reschedule workflow” 4. Select the new target date and click “reschedule”

However, sometimes changes to the target date of a journey may occur. For example, a new employee is postponing their first day for a week. In such cases, you can easily change the target date of a journey with Introist, and here's how:

  1. Log in to your Introist account and navigate to the journey that you want to update. You can do it either by navigating to the Journeys section or finding the employee from Employees.
  2. Click on the "Actions" button located at the top right corner of the journey page, and choose the “Reschedule workflow” option.
  3. Click on the date field to open the date picker, and select the new target date.
  4. Click "Reschedule" to save the changes you made to the journey.

Once you save the changes, the journey will be automatically rescheduled to ensure that all the tasks within the journey are completed before, on, or after the new target date you selected.

It's important to note that changing the target date of a journey may impact other processes that are dependent on it. For example, if the journey is part of a larger onboarding process, changing the target date may affect the overall onboarding timeline. Therefore, it's essential to consider the broader implications of changing a journey's target date before making any changes. Please go through any other journeys active for the employee.
